Sometimes I don’t mind a einning incorrectness in a historical romance. The Lady Most Likely May 28, Julia rated it really liked it. The plot is a simple and straight-forward.
A definitively great read. But after becoming engaged, Cyrus really doesn’t pay much attention to her. Lucy Towerton is relieved when Cyrus Ravensthorpe requests her hand in marriage.

Eloisa James write fabulous historical romances and I knew that I was going to like this one because Ames liked it. Does the story flow? Olivia opened her mouth, then wallflwer it.

I do loved Lucy and Marcusshe took time but once she settled herself to not accept less than what she has set her eyes on, she became a very interesting and entertaining woman. And I do loved it, of course, everything is faster as time is limited in a novella but the characters were perfectly developed and presented, with depth and wit.
He needs to marry someone above reproach and he finds all of that in Lucy. Surely that signals a man is ready for marriage.
At that point there were only two or three boys taller than me in the class, and I was mortified. I think they might even have run winniing Gretna Green.
